For my first blog post, I thought I’d link to an expert (perhaps the expert) on the graphical display of quantitative information — Edward Tufte.  In lucid prose and beautiful graphics, Ed explains the theory and practice of displaying, interpreting, and sharing quantitative data through visualizations.

His writings (self-published, by the way) have had a huge influence on me, and are a must read for anyone who analyzes & presents numerical data.
